Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Lahore residents for following safety SOPs during the Basant festival, saying the city celebrated with joy while upholding government guidelines.
She noted that rooftops observed safety measures, prohibited metallic strings were avoided, and transformers remained safe. Maryam Nawaz added that 200 mobile clinics and 21 field hospitals were deployed to ensure public safety.
The Chief Minister said the “Safe Basant” model in Lahore could serve as an example for other cities and urged citizens to remain cautious as the festival concluded.
