Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has cancelled his scheduled two-day visit to Russia due to the evolving security situation in the region, sources confirmed on Saturday.
The visit, described by officials as highly significant, was planned for March 2, with the prime minister set to travel to Moscow for high-level engagements.
Officials at the Prime Minister’s House said the decision to call off the trip was taken in view of extraordinary regional developments, stressing that security considerations and national interests remained the government’s top priority.
