A gunfight between police and armed individuals resulted in the death of a suspected militant and injuries to two others in Hangu District.
The incident occurred within the limits of Mushti Police Station in Central Orakzai, where law enforcement personnel came across a group of armed suspects. The situation quickly escalated into an exchange of fire.
During the clash, one suspect was killed on the spot, while two others were wounded. Authorities believe the injured individuals may have escaped the scene or received help from accomplices, though their exact whereabouts remain unknown.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Daswar Ali confirmed that the deceased’s body was moved to the District Headquarters Hospital for identification and completion of legal procedures.
Following the encounter, additional police forces were deployed, and the area was sealed off. A search operation is underway to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects, with security tightened across the region to prevent any further incidents.
