Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stated on Monday that Pakistan Day represents the historic point when Muslims of the Subcontinent resolved to secure a separate homeland.
He noted that on March 23, 1940, a decisive step was taken toward the creation of Pakistan, as Muslims united with determination to safeguard their rights and identity. According to him, that landmark resolution ultimately led to Pakistan emerging as an independent and nuclear state on the global stage.
Kundi described the resolution as a clear commitment to protecting the religious, cultural, and social values of Muslims. He stressed that Pakistan Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the country’s founding leaders and elders, urging citizens to fulfill their duties toward national progress.
Highlighting the contributions of the armed forces, he acknowledged their crucial role in maintaining security, stability, and supporting economic growth, adding that their sacrifices in defending the nation would always be remembered.
The governor called on people nationwide, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to reaffirm their dedication to collective progress and work together toward strengthening Pakistan. He concluded by saying that with unity and resilience, the nation continues to advance toward a future marked by stability, development, and prosperity.
