Islamabad Talks put Pakistan at Centre of Global Diplomacy: Bilawal Bhutto

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, said global attention remains focused on the talks in Islamabad, describing Pakistan’s role as host as a major diplomatic achievement.

In an interview, he expressed hope that the ceasefire would help lay the groundwork for a lasting settlement of disputes in the region. He also thanked the leadership of the United States and Iran for their willingness to engage in dialogue, adding that China, Saudi Arabia and other countries had contributed to the peace process.

Bhutto-Zardari said the conflict had impacted not only Iran but the wider Middle East, underscoring the urgency of diplomatic efforts.

Speaking separately, he noted that bringing both sides to the negotiating table marked a significant success for Pakistan, though reaching a final agreement would remain a considerable challenge. He added that the conflict had shown there was no military solution to the issue.
