Sherry Rehman has described Pakistan’s role in facilitating a fragile ceasefire and bringing parties to the negotiating table as a major diplomatic achievement.
In an interview, she said the talks mark an important step toward regional peace, stressing that dialogue remains the only viable path forward. She noted that the ceasefire allowed both sides time to reassess positions and prepare for future negotiations.
Rehman highlighted that Pakistan’s leadership, including Asim Munir, Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Asif Ali Zardari, played a key role through behind-the-scenes diplomatic efforts.
She emphasized that coordination between institutions and political leadership helped enable the talks and demonstrate national unity, adding that sustained dialogue and flexibility are essential for lasting peace.
