Bushra Bibi, the spouse of Imran Khan, was moved from prison to a hospital, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Gohar Ali Khan said on Friday.
In a statement posted on X, Gohar Ali Khan said the party had received information that the transfer to a medical facility took place late Thursday night.
He called for immediate access for the families of both Imran Khan and his wife, while reiterating demands for the former premier to be shifted to a hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The PTI chairman said he was informed of the development through a late-night message and was awaiting a detailed briefing on her condition and treatment. He urged authorities to allow family members to meet her, stressing that access to medical care and family visits were fundamental rights.
“Their health is too serious, and every Pakistani is deeply concerned,” he added.
Earlier, PTI had recently announced a rally seeking Imran Khan’s release from jail later this month. However, the party postponed the event amid ongoing diplomatic engagements in the federal capital related to the United States-Iran peace process.
