ECP halts Senate by-election over Murad Saeed seat dispute

China’s ambassador to Pakistan has reaffirmed Beijing’s “full support” for Islamabad’s efforts to facilitate peace talks between the United States and Iran, underscoring the importance of dialogue for regional stability.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad to discuss the evolving regional situation.

During the meeting, the Chinese envoy appreciated Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote engagement between the United States and Iran, noting that such initiatives are crucial for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.

China also reiterated its support for Pakistan’s role in fostering regional peace, while both sides highlighted the significance of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

The two countries agreed to maintain high-level exchanges and expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
