COMSATS Senate reviews key affairs in 9th meeting

The 9th meeting of the Senate of COMSATS University was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi, where key academic, administrative, financial, and policy matters were reviewed in detail.

According to an official statement, the meeting emphasized improving human resource management and strengthening career development systems within the university. Progress on expanding open and distance learning programs and enhancing access to education was also discussed.

The Senate deliberated on the potential implementation of electronic voting systems across the Senate and other institutional bodies to improve governance and transparency.

Issues related to daily wages, scholarships, and employee welfare were also taken up during the session. The Senate approved several important administrative and academic appointments, along with decisions made by selection boards.

Additionally, approvals were granted for faculty and non-faculty appointments and promotions, reflecting the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its academic and administrative capacity.
