Pakistan will begin its post-Hajj flight operation on Sunday to bring home thousands of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia following the completion of the annual pilgrimage.
According to official details, 22 flights are scheduled to return 5,237 pilgrims to various cities across the country on the first day of the operation.
The first flight carrying Hajj pilgrims is expected to arrive in Sialkot from Jeddah on the morning of June 1, with 391 pilgrims on board.
Five flights are scheduled to land in Islamabad on Sunday, while four each will arrive in Karachi and Lahore. Three flights each are expected in Multan and Sialkot, while Faisalabad will receive two flights and Quetta one.
Under the government Hajj scheme, around 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims will return home through 471 flights operated by Pakistani public and private airlines as well as Saudi carriers.
The month-long repatriation operation will continue until June 30, with authorities making arrangements to ensure the smooth return of all pilgrims who performed Hajj this year.
