Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Murree on Friday for a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif to discuss the country’s political situation and the party’s future strategy.
According to sources, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and other senior party leaders are also expected to attend the meeting.
The participants are likely to deliberate on key national issues, the prevailing political landscape and matters relating to the party’s organisational and electoral strategy.
Sources said the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as well as preparations for the AJK Legislative Assembly elections scheduled for July 27, will also be taken up during the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to return to Islamabad on Sunday, the sources added.
