The Balochistan government has restored a six-day working week for all government and private schools across the province, abolishing the Saturday holiday with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by School Education Secretary Lal Jan Jafar, educational institutions will now remain open from Monday to Saturday. The revised schedule will also apply to all offices operating under the School Education Department.
The notification stated that all previous orders regarding the working days of educational institutions had been withdrawn, adding that the new six-day working week would remain in force until further orders.
The provincial government said the decision was implemented after receiving approval from the competent authority.
