Train services linking Quetta with other parts of the country were suspended for a day on Tuesday amid security concerns, railway authorities said.
The Jaffar Express scheduled to depart from Quetta for Peshawar will not operate today, while the train travelling from Peshawar to Quetta has been halted at Jacobabad.
Railway officials said the temporary suspension was prompted by the prevailing security situation. Authorities are monitoring developments and will decide on the resumption of services based on the security situation.
The services will return to normal once conditions improve, officials said.
Passengers have been advised to stay updated through official announcements from the railway administration regarding the restoration of train operations.
