Vawda links PTI’s future to acceptance of ‘minus-one’ formula

Senator Faisal Vawda has said that if there is no “minus one,” then the entire PTI would effectively stand “minus,” warning that “not an inch will be tolerated anymore” and those involved will be “crushed.”

Speaking on a private television channel, Vawda claimed the party’s public appeal has diminished. “This is a war for power and money. They have no love for the country. All this conflict is merely politicians fighting among themselves,” he remarked.

He said every action would now trigger a “double reaction,” adding that “developments” would begin from Monday. According to him, several individuals have already “surrendered” following the recent press conference by the DG ISPR.

“We have reached this point because we kept tolerating things,” Vawda said. He added that a new political phrase had emerged—“aisi ki taisi.” Commenting on internal PTI matters, he said the founder’s sisters had revealed a vulnerability “the government wasn’t even aware of.” He alleged that if someone declines to meet the PTI founder, “he becomes frustrated,” urging the party to “accept the minus one and go home.”

It may be noted that in a recent press briefing, Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that nothing supersedes the state, adding that one individual’s personal ambitions had expanded to the extent of implying: “If not me, then nothing.”
