Federal leaders visit late AJK president to offer condolences

On the special directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam, and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry visited the residence of the late President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, at Chechian in district Mirpur.

The leaders expressed condolences to the bereaved family and offered fateha for the departed soul.

The federal ministers and the adviser paid rich tribute to the political and diplomatic services of Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, acknowledging his role in the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and his efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue at national and international forums.They said that with his passing, Kashmiris have lost a great political leader, adding that Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry was a leader of high traditions who dedicated his entire life to the Kashmir freedom movement.

Later, the delegation visited the grave of Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, where they laid wreaths and offered prayers on behalf of themselves and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
