The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed a petition for hearing that seeks access to Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir observed that the petition, filed by Bushra Bibi’s daughter Mubashra, will be taken up on Monday after initial objections raised by the Registrar’s Office are cleared.
During the hearing, lawyers Salman Akram Raja, Ali Bukhari, Naeem Panjotha, and Khalid Yousaf appeared before the court.
The judge noted that such matters usually require coordination with relevant authorities and advised that jail officials should be contacted if that has not already been done.
Justice Tahir also asked whether family meetings had previously been allowed. In response, the counsel said access had been irregular and that visits by family members had now been completely stopped.
The petitioners argued that the matter was urgent due to Bushra Bibi’s recent surgery and health condition.
The court directed that the petition be formally registered and confirmed it would be heard on the next working day, Monday.
