Ishaq Dar, Norwegian deputy FM discuss regional situation, bilateral ties

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a meeting with Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister, to discuss the evolving regional situation and bilateral relations.

During the meeting, FM Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote engagement and dialogue aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Kravik reaffirmed Norway’s support for Pakistan’s constructive role, particularly its efforts towards achieving a peaceful and lasting resolution of conflicts.

The two sides also explored ways to further strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.

Kravik conveyed an invitation from Norway’s foreign minister to FM Ishaq Dar to participate in the upcoming Oslo Forum scheduled to be held next month. The deputy prime minister expressed appreciation for the invitation.

Both sides agreed to maintain close contact on bilateral matters as well as on issues related to peace, stability and development.
