Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Friday said Pakistan had demonstrated resilience and unity in the face of multiple challenges, adding that the country’s role was now being acknowledged globally.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi held in connection with the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, he said Pakistan’s history reflected its ability to overcome difficult circumstances through determination and collective strength.
Mr Siddiqui said Pakistan had emerged as a symbol of balance and peace in the region, adding that the country’s respect and prestige had increased after the success of Marka-e-Haq.
Referring to tensions between Pakistan and India in May 2025, he said the conflict had been initiated by India but was brought to an end by the Pakistan Armed Forces.
He also stressed that national unity remained Pakistan’s greatest strength.
