Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said Pakistan will continue its sincere efforts to promote lasting peace, mutual respect, and stability in the region.
In a post on X, Dar thanked all parties involved in the peace process and said recent diplomatic efforts represented an important step towards strengthening regional stability.
He noted that Donald Trump held telephone conversations with leaders of several Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. He described the development as an important move for regional peace and stability.
Dar also appreciated J.D. Vance, Marco Rubio, and other members of the American team for their commitment to diplomacy and dialogue.
He further thanked Masoud Pezeshkian and other Iranian leaders, including Abbas Araghchi and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, for what he described as their constructive role.
The deputy prime minister also acknowledged António Guterres and regional partners, including Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar, for their contributions to the process.
Dar praised Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership and commitment to peace, while also commending Syed Asim Munir for his role in recent discussions representing Pakistan.
He also highlighted the efforts of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, saying continued diplomatic engagement had contributed to progress in the process.
Dar reiterated that Pakistan supports all sincere efforts aimed at peace, mutual respect, and regional stability, adding that dialogue and diplomacy should take priority over conflict and confrontation to achieve shared security and prosperity.
