Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that China has become a model for the world and has no equal in terms of economic strength.
The prime minister made these remarks during a special ceremony in Beijing held to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The event was attended by the prime minister and Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, where a commemorative cake was also cut to celebrate the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Shehbaz Sharif praised China’s extraordinary journey of development over the past 75 years, saying the country has emerged as a global example of growth and economic achievement.He also highlighted China’s success in lifting millions of people out of poverty under President Xi Jinping’s leadership and described these achievements as highly admirable.
The prime minister also recalled China’s support for Pakistan during the devastating floods of 2010 and appreciated Beijing’s continued cooperation in promoting regional peace, development, and stability.
He further noted that President Xi believes in dialogue as a means of resolving conflicts, describing it as a reflection of a strong commitment to peace.
