Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to return to Pakistan on Monday after participating in the latest round of talks between Iran and the United States aimed at finding a lasting resolution to tensions in the Middle East.
The prime minister is scheduled to depart from Bürgenstock, Switzerland, at 11:30am local time (2:30pm PST), accompanied by members of his delegation.
Shehbaz arrived in Switzerland on Sunday night along with a high-level delegation and took part in diplomatic engagements surrounding the negotiations between Washington and Tehran. According to officials, the prime minister played a mediatory role during the discussions, which were focused on efforts to secure a durable end to the ongoing conflict in the region.
