Araghchi says Saudi, Pakistani leaders stress political dialogue

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he held a second telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Sunday, with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, also joining the discussion to review recent diplomatic developments.

According to Araghchi, the three leaders exchanged views on the current regional situation and discussed “initiatives aimed at maintaining and strengthening security and stability in the West Asian region.”

In a post shared on Telegram, Araghchi said the participants also stressed the importance of regional cooperation and political dialogue to support peace and stability in the region.

Iranian envoy praises growing Pakistan-Iran ties

Meanwhile, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, welcomed the growing relationship between Tehran and Islamabad, highlighting the high-level engagements between the two countries over the past two years.

In a statement posted on X, the ambassador said, “The stature and reputation of the relations stand as high as the majestic peaks of Damavand and K2,” referring to the tallest mountains in Iran and Pakistan, respectively.
