Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, held an introductory meeting with representatives of Pakistani media organisations operating in London.
During the meeting, Tipu Usman appreciated the role played by Pakistani media in the UK during Marka-e-Haq, saying their coverage helped keep members of the Pakistani diaspora informed about important developments and issues.
The high commissioner reaffirmed the Pakistan High Commission’s commitment to maintaining close coordination with Pakistani media representatives to strengthen outreach to the community.
He said the mission would continue working with the media to create greater awareness about government initiatives and reforms aimed at facilitating Pakistanis living in the UK.
The media representatives congratulated Tipu Usman on taking charge as Pakistan’s new high commissioner and welcomed him to the position.
During the interactive session, media representatives shared a number of suggestions on improving communication with the Pakistani diaspora and addressing issues related to the welfare of the Pakistani community across the UK.
