ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have promoted 11 Sub-Inspectors (BS-14) to the rank of Inspector (BS-16) on the basis of overall satisfactory performance, service record and seniority-cum-fitness, following approval by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. An ICT Police spokesperson told APP on Friday that a formal notification had been issued after recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which met at the Central Police Office, Islamabad. IGP Rizvi said the welfare and professional development of police officers and personnel remained a priority, and effective measures were being taken to address their welfare needs and career progression.
He said that promotions based on merit and transparency were an important part of Islamabad Police policy, adding that officers and personnel demonstrating good performance would be encouraged and their welfare would be ensured. The IGP Rizvi said continued attention to the welfare, promotion and professional capacity of the force would help boost the morale of police personnel and further improve their performance.
He reaffirmed that the process of merit-based promotions, transparency and welfare measures would continue within Islamabad Police.
