The three-day celebrations marking the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji commenced at the Kartarpur Corridor on Friday, drawing thousands of Sikh pilgrims from across Pakistan and around the world.
According to the Darbar administration, nearly 2,000 pilgrims are scheduled to arrive in Kartarpur today via the Wagah border. The devotees will stay for two days before proceeding to Eminabad on November 10 to continue their religious observances.
Officials said elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate the visitors, including enhanced security, accommodation, medical care, and langar (community kitchen) services to ensure pilgrims’ comfort throughout the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Sikh devotees have reiterated their call for India to fully reopen the Kartarpur Corridor, urging authorities to allow greater access for pilgrims wishing to visit Darbar Sahib without restrictions.
