Islamabad roads to remain closed for six hours

The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory announcing the temporary closure of several major roads in the federal capital for six hours today.

According to the advisory, multiple roads will remain closed from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Traffic authorities said diversions will be enforced on Police Lines Road and Faisal Avenue to manage traffic flow during the closure.

Additional diversions will also be in place on Srinagar Highway and the Islamabad Expressway. Commuters have been advised to use alternative routes, including Margalla Road, Club Road and nearby service roads, to avoid inconvenience.

The traffic police urged citizens to plan their journeys in advance and allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for travel. Traffic wardens will be deployed at key locations to guide motorists.

For real-time updates or emergency assistance, citizens can contact the Islamabad Traffic Police helpline by dialing 1915 or 15.
