The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a temporary traffic diversion plan from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Friday on the Expressway and Murree Road/Club Road in connection with a special programme.
According to an ITP spokesperson, traffic diversions will be placed at various points during the specified hours, which may affect the smooth flow of traffic in the affected areas.
Motorists travelling from Rawat towards the Expressway have been advised to use the Rawat–Rawalpindi–Peshawar Road as an alternative route. Similarly, road users coming from IJP Road and Srinagar Highway towards the Expressway are encouraged to use inner-city service roads to avoid congestion and possible delays.
The spokesperson urged citizens to plan their journeys in advance and allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes to reach their destinations on time.
He added that ITP officers will remain deployed at key locations to facilitate commuters and ensure effective traffic management during the diversion period.
