Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has called on Pakistanis to embrace the ideals and vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to build an inclusive and prosperous nation.
Addressing an event marking the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, Gilani highlighted that Jinnah envisioned Pakistan as a modern democratic state founded on equality, justice, and the rule of law.
He described Quaid-e-Azam not only as the founder of Pakistan but also as a symbol of principled leadership, constitutionalism, and moral courage, stressing that his principles remain as relevant today as at the time of the country’s creation.
Gilani urged those in positions of authority to prioritize national interest over personal considerations, ensure transparency and integrity in institutions, and encouraged the youth to commit to discipline and service for the nation.
