Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for continued stringent action against mafias involved in human trafficking and illegal immigration, stressing a zero-tolerance policy towards those exploiting vulnerable individuals.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review the performance of the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration wing, Naqvi reiterated that no leniency would be shown to human smugglers. He said Pakistan’s international reputation must be protected at all costs.
The interior minister directed the FIA to further strengthen the enforcement of immigration laws and enhance security checks at airports to prevent illegal activities. He also emphasized the need to upgrade immigration monitoring systems to ensure stricter compliance with regulations.
During the meeting, the issue of the professional beggar mafia also came under discussion. Naqvi approved a focused crackdown against organized networks involved in beggary and their facilitators.
He ordered immediate measures to dismantle these networks, reaffirming the government’s resolve to curb human exploitation and all forms of illegal immigration-related activities.
