CM Maryam Nawaz vows to make Punjab crime-free

LAHORE  –  Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Friday expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of SHO Sub-Inspector Aamir Rizwan, who was martyred during an alleged police encounter in Sargodha.

In a condolence message, the chief minister offered heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks in Jannah. She paid tribute to police and security personnel who lay down their lives for the protection of citizens and their property, describing them as the pride of the nation.

The CM reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to maintaining a peaceful and crime-free Punjab, adding that the government would continue to support the families of martyrs and further strengthen law enforcement institutions to ensure public safety across the province.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to the security forces for killing 13 khawarij during successful operations in Bannu and Kurram.

In her statement, the chief minister appreciated the professionalism, bravery and coordinated efforts of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies. She said that the armed forces and the entire nation are fully determined to uproot terrorism from the country.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that security forces are making invaluable sacrifices to ensure lasting peace and stability, adding that their courage and commitment have strengthened the resolve of the nation against extremist elements. She said that the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete elimination, and the sacrifices rendered by security personnel would always be remembered with pride and honour.
