BISHKEK – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Monday. Upon his arrival at the ceremony, the PM was received by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov. Other heads of state who are in Bishkek to attend the SCO Council of Heads of State (CHS) Meeting also participated in the opening ceremony. A contingent of Pakistani athletes is also participating in the Nomad Games. Upon the arrival of the Pakistani contingent, the Prime Minister stood up to applaud and pay tribute to them. The spectators present in the stadium also cheered for them. The World Nomad Games are an international sporting event featuring traditional sports of Central Asia. The Nomad Games consist of traditional sports rooted in the cultures of various Central Asian nations, such as wrestling, horse racing, traditional animal hunting, archery, and intellectual games. Pakistani athletes will also take part in various sports. The 6th World Nomad Games are being held in Kyrgyzstan from today until the sixth of next month.
