Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the tragic fire at Gul Plaza in Karachi and ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident.
The chief minister directed the Karachi commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire and submit a detailed report. Expressing deep grief over the loss of lives, he offered condolences to the bereaved families.
Murad Ali Shah also instructed authorities to ensure that all injured individuals receive the best possible medical treatment without any negligence.
He further ordered a comprehensive inspection of fire safety arrangements at Gul Plaza to assess compliance with fire safety regulations, warning that strict action would be taken if negligence or carelessness is found.
In addition, the chief minister ordered an immediate fire safety audit of all commercial buildings across Karachi to ensure strict enforcement of fire safety laws and prevent similar incidents in the future.
