Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday underscored the need for national unity in the face of rising regional tensions, urging citizens to stand firmly with Pakistan.
Speaking to the media after visiting the Mazar-e-Quaid, alongside Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi and cabinet members, the chief minister called on Muslim countries to work collectively towards reducing the prevailing climate of conflict.
He said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Pakistan Army continued its efforts to eliminate terrorism and ensure national security.
CM paid tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, stating that their contributions played a vital role in advancing the vision of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party, under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, remained committed to the country’s development and progress.
The chief minister emphasised that adherence to the principles of Quaid-i-Azam was essential for ensuring sustainable growth and stability. He also reiterated the Sindh government’s commitment to public welfare and stressed the importance of educating younger generations about the founding ideals of the country.
CM Murad said that ensuring Pakistan’s economic and social stability remained a top priority, adding that Sindh had played a leading role in the country’s creation, including through the passage of the Pakistan Resolution by the provincial assembly.
He also credited the nuclear programme initiated under Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for strengthening the country’s defence, warning that adversaries would not be allowed to harbour hostile intentions against Pakistan.
