Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan has carved out a distinct place on the global stage as a voice for peace and stability.
In a meeting with Sindh Governor Syed Nihal Hashmi, he welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and the United States, calling it a positive step toward global harmony. He noted that Pakistan, as a responsible nation, played a constructive role in encouraging peaceful outcomes.
Nawaz Sharif praised the diplomatic contributions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, saying their efforts led to notable progress on the international front.
He stressed that Pakistan has consistently supported peace initiatives in the region and welcomed dialogue between Iran and the United States as the best path forward. According to him, lasting solutions to global disputes can only be achieved through negotiations rather than conflict.
He added that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic efforts have enhanced its international reputation and could contribute significantly to regional stability. He also called on the global community to seize this opportunity to advance peace efforts.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif commended the leadership for their dedicated role in easing tensions. She stated that Pakistan’s sincere and determined efforts helped avert a major global crisis and positioned the country as a key player in promoting peace.
Maryam Nawaz also acknowledged the leadership of the United States, Iran, and other Islamic nations for their contributions, expressing optimism that continued dialogue would lead to enduring peace worldwide.
