Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on the first leg of his four-day three-nation tour on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
At the airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation received a warm welcome from the Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq.
In Jeddah, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The meeting will focus on further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as discussions on regional developments. During his visit to Qatar, the prime minister will hold meetings with the leadership of the country. The discussions will focus on enhancing ongoing bilateral cooperation as well as exchanging views on regional peace and security.
The Prime Minister will also visit Türkiye to participate in the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the Forum, the Prime Minister will participate in the Leaders’ Panel, alongside other world leaders, to present Pakistan’s perspective at the Forum.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the Prime Minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other key world leaders.
Pakistan’s participation in the Forum reflects its continued commitment to constructive diplomacy, multilateral cooperation, and meaningful engagement with the international community on issues of global importance.
