ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday met British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, where both sides discussed the evolving regional situation and avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the British High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomacy and efforts in facilitating ceasefire and de-escalation between Iran and the United States.
The two sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in key sectors including energy, security, minerals, investment promotion, sustainable development, technical assistance, and institutional partnerships.
Governor Kundi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region and beyond, stating that Pakistan has consistently believed in negotiations as the foundation for lasting regional peace. He also highlighted that a large number of young professionals and skilled individuals from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are contributing to various sectors in the United Kingdom.
He expressed optimism about expanding opportunities for talented youth from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through continued engagement with the British government. The British High Commissioner also hosted a dinner in honour of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor following the meeting.
