Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of prominent religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Idrees Tarangzai in a terrorist attack in Charsadda.
In separate statements, President Zardari extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks. He strongly condemned the attack, stating that such cowardly acts of terrorism cannot shake the nation’s resolve.
The president reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to eradicating terrorism, adding that action against terrorist elements will continue without discrimination and the country will be turned into a cradle of peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the incident and expressed profound grief over the loss. He offered sympathies to the family of the deceased and prayed for the departed soul.
The prime minister further prayed for the swift recovery of police personnel who were injured in the attack, reiterating the government’s determination to counter terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens.
