Celebrations were held across Pakistan on Wednesday to mark the first anniversary of the success of Marka-e-Haq, with events highlighting patriotism and national unity.
In Peshawar, a ceremony was organised at Islamia College Peshawar, where a friendly cricket match was played between personnel of the Pakistan Army and students. The event drew participation from teachers and students, with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” heard throughout the venue.
At the conclusion of the match, prizes and trophies were distributed among outstanding players by the chief guest. Organisers said the activity aimed to commemorate the occasion while fostering closer ties between students and the armed forces.
Similar programmes were also held at various educational institutions in the city, where students took part in flag-hoisting ceremonies alongside army personnel. Children presented national songs and tableaux reflecting their affection for the country.
Special prayers were offered for the country’s peace, security and stability. Officials of the Pakistan Army appreciated the enthusiasm and patriotic spirit demonstrated by the students.
Participants also paid tribute to the armed forces for their role in the success of Marka-e-Haq, raising slogans in their honour during the celebrations.
