Ishaq Dar urges unity on one year of Marka-e-Haq

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has called for renewed national unity and rejection of division to ensure a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

In a message marking the completion of one year of Marka-e-Haq, he paid tribute to the bravery and discipline of Pakistan’s armed forces for defending the homeland with determination.

He described Marka-e-Haq as a defining chapter in the country’s history, reflecting courage, unity and unwavering resolve, where soldiers stood firm and citizens stood behind them.

Recalling last year’s tensions, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, responded to aggression with calm resolve, responsibility and moral clarity.

He said Pakistan’s measured and principled response conveyed a clear message that the country seeks peace but will never compromise on its dignity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence.

The Deputy Prime Minister said lasting peace in South Asia requires addressing core disputes, especially the issue of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of its people.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, Ishaq Dar said the country believes in dialogue, diplomacy and resolving disputes through justice and mutual respect.
