Punjab housing project draws global attention in Baku: Azma Bokhari

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said the Punjab government’s pavilion for the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing project at Baku has emerged as a major attraction for international visitors and foreign delegates.

In a statement, she said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will present the landmark housing initiative in Baku today as part of Punjab’s international outreach efforts.

Azma Bokhari described the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” programme as one of the world’s largest and most unique housing schemes, adding that 100,000 houses have already been completed while construction on another 60,000 homes is progressing rapidly.

She further said the chief minister has set a target of providing homes to 500,000 families within five years, adding that Punjab’s development initiatives are now receiving international recognition instead of remaining limited to paperwork.

The information minister said projects that are implemented on the ground earn global acknowledgement, adding that critics unable to match Maryam Nawaz’s performance have resorted to targeting her leadership.
