Security personnel injured in firing incident in Rawalakot

Several security personnel were injured after unidentified individuals allegedly linked to the banned Joint Action Committee opened fire on law enforcement officials in Rawalakot, according to security sources.

The incident occurred while security personnel were deployed in the area to maintain law and order and ensure the protection of lives and property. Officials said a number of personnel sustained injuries during the attack and were shifted for medical treatment.

Authorities alleged that members of the banned organisation were involved in the incident. Security sources further claimed that the group had previously been linked to attacks on state property as well as incidents resulting in casualties among security personnel.Analysts and security experts said the latest violence raised concerns about the group’s activities, arguing that such actions undermine its stated objectives and contribute to instability in the region.

No statement from the Joint Action Committee was immediately available regarding the allegations.
