LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that the development of the rural economy is vital for the country’s overall progress, reaffirming her government’s commitment to empowering rural communities.
In her message on World Rural Development Day, the chief minister paid tribute to the people living in rural areas for their significant contribution to Pakistan’s development.
Maryam Nawaz said that sustainable national progress is closely linked to the prosperity of villages and rural communities, stressing the need to strengthen the rural economy.
She reiterated the Punjab government’s resolve to improve the lives of rural residents by expanding access to education, promoting skills development, and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
The chief minister said the government remains committed to ensuring inclusive development and enhancing the socio-economic conditions of people in rural areas through targeted initiatives.
