Seven people were killed and around 60 others injured when a tractor-trolley carrying a wedding party collided head-on with a trailer near Sardar Garh.
According to officials, the tractor-trolley was carrying members of a wedding party when the trailer coming from the opposite direction rammed into it, resulting in multiple casualties.
Initially, four people were reported dead, but the death toll later rose to seven after three more injured victims succumbed to their wounds.
Rescue 1122 teams shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they were provided medical treatment.
A district official said an initial report suggested that reckless driving may have caused the accident. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances behind the collision.
Road accidents remain frequent in the region, with reckless driving, poor road conditions and violations of traffic rules among the major causes of fatal crashes.
