Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the expansion of the province’s electric bus service to the tehsil level.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore, the chief minister said the expanded service would begin from January next year, with 1,500 electric buses planned for deployment across tehsils.
The meeting was informed that the Punjab government aims to have 3,000 electric buses operational across the province by June next year.
The expansion is aimed at improving public transport facilities and providing residents across Punjab with cleaner and more sustainable commuting options.
