The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an online facility allowing citizens to apply for replacement Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) through the PakID mobile app.
The facility enables citizens to apply for a replacement CNIC without visiting a NADRA office, particularly in cases where the original card has been lost, damaged or expired.
To apply, citizens need to open the PakID app and select “Identity Documents” from the home screen.
They can then select “CNIC”, choose the applicant and click “Reprint” on the following screen.
Applicants can complete the remaining process by following the instructions provided in the app.
The facility is aimed at making the CNIC replacement process more convenient for citizens who are unable to visit NADRA offices due to work or other commitments.
