KP chief minister set for Karachi visit to mobilise party support

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is scheduled to visit Karachi from January 9 to 11, during which he will tour various parts of Sindh and lead his party’s political activities in the province.

According to party sources, the chief minister will be accompanied by members of the KP Provincial Assembly.

During the visit, he is expected to hold meetings with party leadership, detained workers and senior political figures. His schedule also includes a visit to the Karachi Press Club and interactions with party workers in different localities as part of a street campaign aimed at mobilising support.

His special adviser, Shafiullah Jan, said the chief minister would meet members of the Sindh provincial government as well as party leaders to discuss internal party affairs and political strategy. He added that CM Afridi would also address the Bar Association and hold a formal meeting with the Sindh chief minister to strengthen political coordination and inter-provincial relations.

Shafiullah Jan said efforts for the release of detained party leaders would be pursued at every constitutional and democratic forum. He added that during the visit, the chief minister would also raise his voice against what he termed political victimisation and violations of democratic norms.
