Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday announced that the Levies Force has been legally merged into the Balochistan Police.
In a post on his X handle, the chief minister said the longstanding division of areas into A and B categories has been abolished, ending administrative ambiguity regarding the implementation of uniform law across the province.
He said the decision has formally resolved the long-standing confusion over law enforcement jurisdiction in Balochistan and will help establish a single, coherent policing system.
According to Sarfraz Bugti, the move will clarify the responsibilities of the state and strengthen the scope of protection for the public, ensuring more effective and uniform law enforcement throughout the province.
