Continuing efforts to enhance public service delivery, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new vehicle verification facility for the buying and selling of registered vehicles in Sindh.
According to reports, the initiative has been introduced in collaboration with the Sindh government and allows citizens to verify vehicles through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application. Under the system, vehicle and car details can be checked from home using the app, eliminating the need for initial physical visits.
Once the vehicle’s credentials are verified digitally, citizens can proceed with the remaining registration and transfer processes at the relevant provincial departments.
NADRA has advised citizens to visit its official website or contact its helpline at 1777 for further information.
Earlier, NADRA also launched a pilot project to improve access to its services through selected e-Sahulat franchises. Under the initiative, facilities for the reprinting of lost Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and the renewal of expired CNICs are being provided at designated franchises.
The pilot phase has been rolled out at 18 e-Sahulat franchises in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. Officials said the move aims to reduce pressure on NADRA registration centres and make essential identity services more accessible at the community level.
In Karachi, the pilot project is operational at several locations, including Shah Latif Sahulat Center in Malir, Universal Computer Zone in Korangi, Hashmi Communication at Al Azam Square, Gul Photo Studio in Maripur, Tazeem International in Gulistan-e-Johar, Mehboob Communication at Water Pump, Uzair Printer Documentation in Surjani Town, and Shaukat General Store in Orangi Town.
