PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkiye amid diplomatic push

Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey from Wednesday, as Pakistan intensifies diplomatic engagement ahead of a possible second round of US-Iran peace talks.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the prime minister’s visit will take place from April 15 to 18.

The visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar will focus on bilateral relations, where the prime minister is scheduled to meet respective leadership to discuss ongoing cooperation as well as regional peace and security.

In Turkey, the premier will attend the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he will participate in a Leaders’ Panel alongside global counterparts to present Pakistan’s perspective on key international and regional issues.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sharif is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other world leaders.

The prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Ishaq Dar, Attaullah Tarar, and Syed Tariq Fatemi, along with other senior officials.
