Muhammad Aurangzeb reaffirms commitment to Roshan Digital Account scheme

Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) scheme, highlighting its resilience and importance for attracting overseas investment.

Speaking at the Roshan Digital Account and Remittance Roadshow Pakistan Diaspora Leaders’ Evening, held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., the finance minister said the initiative remained fully operational even during the peak of the country’s balance of payments crisis.

He noted that despite foreign exchange reserves falling to historic lows, the government did not impose any restrictions on deposits in RDA accounts, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining investor confidence.

Aurangzeb also appreciated the new features and enhancements introduced to the scheme, which have expanded the range of investment opportunities available to overseas Pakistanis.

Encouraging greater participation, he urged expatriates to take advantage of the platform and contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth by investing through the RDA framework.
